We are a group of believers in Jesus who meet
together with the knowledge that we can encounter God. We believe
that He desires to meet with us and that He has the best plan
possible for that meeting.
He knows each one who will attend
and what He wants to do in or through each one. We just want
to give Him that freedom. What's really wonderful is knowing
that He wants to be there, too.
When we meet together there
is no pressure on anyone to prepare a sermon, have a plan or
schedule or even a direction. That may sound too unorganized
but if it is God's meeting it will be organized by Him!
Most Christians
have been taught that "going" to Church is a good thing, but
we believe that Christians "are" the Church, and when we come
together God wants to interact much as He did in the beginning
as we read about in 1 Corinthians 14:26:
Amplified Bible - "What then, brethern,
is [ the right course ]? When you meet together, each one has
a hymn, a teaching, a disclosure of special knowledge or information,
an utterance in [ strange ] tongue, or an interpretation of
it. [ But ] Let everything be constructive and edifying and
for the good of all."
Somewhere man must have
decided that kind of service or gathering wasn't good enough,
and a more one-sided service would be better. One where only
a few participated and the majority sat quietly.
God has never needed anyone
to improve on Him. We have simply found that seeking Him through
the leading of His Holy Spirit He has given us the only way
to truly know His will for each of our lives.
We
believe that God wants to interact with each one of His people
on a one to one basis in our hearts and in our minds as well as
other sources and we want to give Him that freedom.
